School Rocks Summer Soiree

Instrumentally’s School of Rock extended into the weekend with a performance at the Summer Soiree from a band formed during the week. Not only did they perform classics such as Ben E. King’s Stand by Me, but their set included a rap written by one of the students.

The twice yearly soiree’s are the perfect opportunity for students to perform in front of family and friends and the quality of the concert reached new highs. Instrumentally’s musical theatre group Cast! performed extracts from the musical Hairspray with one of the younger members, aged 4, stealing the show.

Individual performances from students ranged from ABRSM exam pieces through to songs by contemporary artists such as Adele and included a fitting tribute to Jon Lord with a ukelele version of Smoke on the Water.
